Do you guys have problems with keeping your plug leads on?

The aluminium terminals were coming off, so I have loctited them on, but one of my plug leads came off today, so I was wondering if this is normal?

yeah, it's kinda normal, you should crimp the bobbin a bit then screw them onto the top of the plug, Parker uses plugs with them fixed on, but I haven't seen them for sale like that here.

OK... I think I need to clarify - loctite has fixed the problem with the aluminium plug terminals coming off. What I am asking about is the plug leads coming off the spark plugs completely with the terminal still secured to the plug.

sounds like you mite need new plug boots then....

Ive found the NGK TB05EMA boots to be quite good.....the rubber on them is stiffer than the TB05EM.

also the MSD plug boot are supposed to be pretty good....and the crimp to the core wire of the leads rather than screw-in like the NGK ones.

other than that you can put cable ties tightly around the boots.

The msd boots are great. I have also seen plastic clips that sit over the plug boot so they stay on tight even in hard landings.
