Hey Jetfish, what impeller did ya end up getting?

Heres a good thread on replacing impellar.

    http://www.x-h2o.com/showthread.php?t=2 ... er+install

The hardest bit is getting the old impeller off (especially if you have a stock alloy one)……

Normally getting a stainless one off you can just put a spanner on the shaft and a spanner on the impeller, prop it up on a bit on wood, put one foot on the spanner on the shaft and stomp like fuck on the spanner that’s on the impeller. ..Don’t need to heat it or anything.

You will need a spline tool for the shaft (I have one if you want to borrow)

Got the pump off yesterday, but having huge issues with getting it apart. I am disinlcined to agree with the guy from the X when he says, it just comes apart...looks like mnes been sealed up or something :? Any ideas????

I also see where that spline tool could come in handy. haha

what are you trying to take apart ?? are you taking the wear ring off?? they normally have sealant between. ...but you should be able to get impeller off without even touching that.

nah....(unless you gona change bearings, seals etc).

just take out whole assembly. spline tool on shaft to hold it, spanner on impeller,....undo impeller , screw on new one...away you go.

thats best case scenerio ....if you need to heat impeller etc ..you will have to start taking it apart more

sweet as mate. what are the impellor tools for? getting confused now lol

your stock impeller will probably have a Hex cast onto the front of it........aftermarket ones use a tool that slots into the front of the impeller
