Hi guys, heading to nz in a couple of weeks to spend 6months working on the family farm just south of timaru. Been ridding stand ups for about 3 years now, started on an sxr, rebuilt it, now on a sj, and having carb issues, hope to sort that next week. Will be looking to buy a ski when i arrive, and meet up with some of the local guys to ride some surf aswell. Wheres best to pick up a sj in nz, or should i say south island? And are there many who ride timaru area? Thanks in advance. Finn

Hey Finn we head to SI a lot mainly to race but will be doing a bit of surf riding this summer We can get skis around NZ pretty cheap , just dont buy any random skis, best ask the members on here first if you find one

Thanks for all the replys guys. Im keen as to get a ski and start ridding some surf. Im heading to nz on the 15th of sep, so will be on the look out for a ski soon as, but no rushing, learnt my leason. I've got a sj with dry pipe prtec girdled head and lighted fly wheel over here, few other bits, pumps modded a bit aswell, its an 04 ski, what sorta money do you guys reckon i should expect to pay for something like that in nz? Look forward to meeting up with some of you.
Something like that would be worth 5-6k in good condition in the south island. Pom's are alright.. Be careful of those Maori's down there… they still eat people!!
