depends on where you ride as to weather you will be pestered about numbers.... Thanks for the site and info Konxie. Looking at riding in Orewa and remember Terry advising they are checking for reg there. Dose the makeup random number work or do they actually check the number? Can you slap the number under the bond line or will they give shit for that to?
what ever numbers you put on just make sure they re in a sequence that start 101... throught to at least 103... they are a 6 digit one and put them above the bond line for less hassles if they walk past or cruise up to you on the water and they can see them they might just leave you alone
just copy the number off the side of some dudes big seadoo homo chariott he will have heaps of cash to keep one of those running and will easily be able to afford to pay fines for you!

they are police and they do fine you. no one likes jetskiers, until it's an emergency. I saw Timmy sweet talk his way out of one at tauranga. ...I got off a fine because I was registered and appeared responsible, as you dont have to be registered to ride in Tauranga yet. Insurance companies liket the rego too
So what do you get fines for? is it like if we stuntride on the roads they d you for careless use of a motorvehicle? The only real issue i have with it is that its only required in the waikato/aux, and its not required for boat owners which seems like total bs
