Do your research before buying an epic ignition if you still want one after that then go for it. Ajsp has about 5 in stock that have been back to get fixed, Im sure he will sell them cheap now.
I had a bad run with my epic ignition as well as alot of other people. Some people swear by them.
  8. There have been some terrible ignitions over the years from all kinds of people..........try and give Link a call at R&R at least you are buying local.

Ask Norm he has had one of his and should be able to provide feedback.

Yes Jeff I know there have been some bad ignitions over the years I sold some as well that gave issues. factory pipe did some called the factory fire. Advent did some real bad ones. epic is just in a line of people trying to make the analogue system from yamaha work with digital. The only ones that seem to work well are the vilders and they to have had isues as well.
Nowadays I only run msd enhancers as they are rock soild
  10. Agreed i tried the Advent and would not recommend them to anyone, they are SHIT.

Digital is the only way to go with what ever you choose.

You can use the 760 front cover and it will allow you to run digital ignition charging on your superjet. The downside is the flywheel weight. I took all the weights out of a 760 flywheel and ran a programmable sxr ignition on my open boat it went well but it was alot of work.
The issue with the 61x 62 stators is that when they wear with age they change the values they give due to higher / lower resistance and the digital ignitions dont like it. Some times they last most often they dont.
    Like a Chinese light bulb.
If you can find a vilder its your best shot. there is great power to be made if you can get them to last
