My cable has melted against the waterbox. Any idea how to best get a new one (cheeaap). Anyone got a good tool for pulling off the white nut at the pump end of the cable. This can be tuff apparently. Any other hints, please let me know. I have the tank and battery out, but totally fresh at this. Cheers
Take the pole off makes it a lil easier to feed thru. Polygrips (multigrips if you are a plumber) should get the white nut off it you don't have a suitable spanner. Its pretty straight forward, pull out from the pump end, feed in same end. Before pulling too hard make sure it is free (there is a little clamp on the pole end under the chinpad). You'll be sweet. They are about $130-$135 genuine, or you can get one made at morse cables which can be a bit of a hassle but possibly cheaper.
poor some dish washing liquid down the pole when you pull it out, tape the new one to the end of the old one and pull it thro when you pull the old 1 out.. easy as
