| Mate, thats a hell of a job you have done on that. Really like the hood mod, stock standard those hoods are about as watertight as a geriatric at the RSA. Did the hood mod set you back much? |

That is a nice looking square you have there, I thinkyou made a good decision not going with the SurfJetLouie hood and nose piece.
Think about reinforcing the bilge area, and especially under the handle pole braket mounting area.
I have seen too many stock skis crack there in the surf...

na didn't use heat ... they're only light gauge ali.. I just used my hands and bent them slowly and formed a nice radius.. you want to avoid kinking/creasing them.
And no trouble with leaking fuel..
Use the screws and rubber seal that hold the cap and collar in the nose when you fit them to the tank.... I also used an aviation grade gasket sealant that is fuel resistant.... and obviously drill the holes for the screws smaller so when you screw them in you get a good tight fit.
Also you will need to cut about 3" of the filler hose to fit the pick up to the tank as the OD's are different. See pic on precious page
if you want more pics let me know. _________________ 95 Square Nose 701 |
